What do you mean, I'm not a big kid...

We went to the beautiful Lords Park in Elgin last week with some friends for a picnic. It was a gorgeous day and we were reminded there are many wonderful things about living in Elgin. While we were a little disappointed the the zoo was not yet open for the season, we were able to check out the buffalo over the fence.

But for Reed, forget about the scenery, forget about the picnic, forget about the wildlife...just let me play with the big kids!!!

There must have been a school field trip and these boys had some free time and decided to start a pickup game of basketball. Lunch was officially over for Reed when he spotted them. I must have retrieved him almost a dozen times before I just let him go. The boys were very understanding and just played around him without any fuss.

Guys, I'm open...and really, who are you calling a baby?

Benjamin says, Reed! Wait up for me!
