Thank God for good neighbors

We have fantastic neighbors. We've felt that way from the time that we moved onto our block 2 1/2 years ago and we continue to realize that as time goes on...and now Reed has too. This weekend the weather has been gorgeous and all Reed wants to do is play outside. Enjoying his quickly increasing mobility, he's been scouring the neighborhood looking for interesting people and things to interact with. He is a clever booger but I think I've figured out his method to get to play with things he might not otherwise be able to.

Move #1-Spot a neighbor and walk within about 10 feet of them. Begin to point directly at them and yell until catching their attention.

Move #2-Once neighbor has noticed him, Reed begins to smile and wave.

Move #3-Mom and/or Dad start chatting with the neighbor.

Move #4-Reed makes his move to anything interesting in their yard or the adjacent neighbors' yard.

He explored a mulch pile, some wind chimes, a pin wheel, and a glass ball...to name his favorite finds. We are thankful for understanding neighbors that welcome our little explorer into their yards. Just wait, when he points at you, waves wildly, and flashes his big toothy grin, you'll let him do whatever he wants too!
