Saturday we took a little day trip just outside Bloomington to visit friends from college. Brent and Julie now live in Maryland with their adorable son, Aiden. We don't get to see them as often as we like, so when we were invited to a barbecue at Brent's parents' house, it was hard to refuse. Aiden was a baby when we saw them last and I was pregnant with Reed. It was great for them to meet Reed and it was really fun to see Aiden and Reed interact.
I think Aiden is very intuitive. He figured Reed out from the start. Reed's a major toy stealer. Aiden had a brand new truck that Reed would take the minute Aiden turned his back. He began guarding the truck when he wanted to put it down and saying "Baby no truck" because he knew Reed was going to snatch it up. We thought there might be a throw down over the truck but they managed the situation quite nicely. There were plenty of other fun toys around. Good job boys!We had a wonderful day catching up and making new memories. It's hard to say when the next time the boys will be together to play but I can't wait!
