Sunday was Bob's 36th birthday. We had his family over for pizza and cake and ice cream to celebrate. You would have guessed that the opening of the gifts would have been uneventful for the kids, as with most other adult family members' birthdays...a gift card, an article of clothing, or something equally boring to the under 10 year old set. Oh not this year!
What would any 36 year old man want for his birthday?! A Playmobil Dragon's Dungeon! (Yes, this is the complementary set that goes with Reed's Great Dragon Castle from Christmas.) Reed was hoping and dreaming that Daddy would get this for his birthday but it was a surprise.
I had no idea that Reed, Porter, and Mason would go so nuts when he opened the gift. You can see that even Cora was getting in on the excitement. I couldn't resist getting some of the reaction on film.
It cracked me up when Porter yelled, "Awesome Uncle!" I guess being a happy recipient of toys as an adult puts you into that category. I guess I should start thinking what I could request for my birthday that would put me into the Awesome Aunt category. Hmm, maybe a chocolate fountain?!
