Thursdays are an exciting day for the Mihelich children because it is GRANDMA & GRANDPA DAY! Reed and Cora also love that they get to hang out with Mason and Porter. Reed currently thinks Porter, 7, is the coolest kid in the world. To name a few things, Reed has started liking the Green Bay Packers (ouch!) because it's Porter's favorite team and he has decided that he wants to be a vampire for Halloween, just like Porter.
One of Reed's favorite activities at Grandma and Grandpa's house is building Legos with the boys. They kept the bins full of Legos from when Brian and Bob were boys. Last week Grandma pulled out some old photos of some of the things that they built as kids. Mason, Porter, and Reed decided to recreate a big racetrack. They were pretty proud to show their dads when they showed up.
I'm am really grateful that they have this special time with their cousins and grandparents. It makes me a little sad that my kids don't get this time with my family, but even mentioning a visit to their Granny and P-pa and cousins Owen and Willa gets them super excited. I am happy they still feel that connection even though we are farther apart.
