Goodbye 'bu!

About a week and a half ago, we bid farewell to a member of our family. Actually, she's been around since before we were a family. The Malibu was the first car of my own after I graduated from college. Granted, she had been my parent's car before that.

From Greenville to Champaign to Chicago to Elgin, she had many homes. Accidents, bumps, dings, cracks, yes, she had a few, but over the years, she covered for 176,000 miles of road. With no car payment, we tried to never speak ill words of her, but after about 9 years in my possession, it was time to go our separate ways.

After enjoying a hiatus from driving all winter, being parked in our driveway, one day a perspective buyer stopped by our house and inquired about our lovely, aging lady. The rest is history. He didn't mind a flat tire and a dead battery and provided his own escort when he took her away.

Goodbye, girl! You were good to us!
