Response: Two! (excitedly holding up one finger).
Reed was very excited about his cousin Willa having a birthday. He seemed to understand the concept. He helped pick out her birthday present and brought up Willa for two weeks before the big party. His excitement continued at the party which was held at a rec center with a really cool indoor pool facility. Our party room overlooked the pool so he stared at it for most of the time. He loved the food and even blew out the birthday candles on Willa's cake (which she surprisingly didn't seem to mind.) After the yummy ice cream cake was consumed and the presents were opened, we headed down to the pool.
Reed had a few jitters before we headed into the pool area, but once he got in there he had a blast!

Owen and Reed playing under the slide area.Reed had such a great time I worry that he will be disappointed with his own 2nd birthday celebration. Maybe if he brings up the pool party in the future, we'll just tell him that it was his birthday party. I am kidding...hopefully.
