Birthdays

We are coming into birthday season for our family so I thought I'd share the first few birthday celebrations. These were for the Jankovic women, Bob's Mom and Grandmother.

On Oma's birthday, March 3, we had a pizza party at Grandma and Grandpa Mihelich's house. We all had a great time. Now, however, everytime Oma is brought up, Cora starts talking about cake. I guess she really enjoyed the celebration and, of course, the cake. Happy 92nd Birthday, Oma!

The first birthday girl was actually Grandma Mihelich, whose birthday was at the end of February, but we celebrated her birthday with a brunch the day after Oma's party. We went to Port Edwards for a Sunday brunch and it was delicious. The kids loved the place because it is a seafood place with a nautical theme and a big pond inside with huge, colorful fish. We had a great time and the following day Reed even commented how much he liked going to the Pirate Restaurant for Grandma's birthday. Another highlight for him was that he got to take home a plastic crab fork like his cousins. Aah, the things that make children happy. This pregnant mama was happy to leave with a full belly of delicious food. Happy Birthday, Grandma! (I won't start disclosing your age until you are over 80 or 90.)

The "fireworks" dessert for the birthday girl!
